Weather is about to turn cooler–typical for fall. My two dogs are barking at every move the contractor makes across the street. That’s their job I suppose–to watch the neighborhood.
An observation: This blog, after five-plus years, has matured. Not that there aren’t any more mountains to climb. I just don’t feel the same urgency to publish something new every day. A bigger concern, is to avoid repeating myself.
Several bloggers, I followed, disappeared, or no longer actively publish, for reasons known only to themselves. Situations and people change. Five years are a long time in the blogging world.
I am one of those bloggers who does not post with any regularity. I have ideas and intentions, but to organize the type of posts I do takes hours, and I have been choosing to spend my free time in other activities that also take a lot of time (learning new and increasing old fiber arts skills). Other things I want to do that take a lot of time are being even more severely neglected – improving my Spanish! All these endeavors also require hours of sitting down time, which also requires long walks! There is not enough time in a day…how did we ever work?
I’ve done fewer long posts and more re-blogs. Mental health, and balancing life, have to take priority. Through it all, I feel much better about myself, than I did when working.
