Rain and Labor Day Mondays

This Labor Day weekend has been a rainy one.

Because of the rain, oppressive heat has temporarily disappeared along with the sun.

The parade of beachgoers that cut their vacations short, clog the highways.

It’s been an opportunity to get rid of some inside clutter.  What good were pieces and parts of old solar yard lights?  After four-plus years, there was no guarantee they’d ever work–even with new batteries.

      1. If you group all our “cold” days altogether maybe. I guess I shouldn’t complain, I haven’t had to shovel snow in 47 years, but I’m about bored with the constant heat now.

      2. We had a quarter inch of ice three years ago and people here went nuts. The whole place shut down for three days. Where I came from, that would have been a normal winter day, and business as usual.
